What: What are community responder models? Let's talk about it.
Join us for a guest presentation and study session. We’ll hear from the Law Enforcement Action Partnership, a national organization of criminal justice professionals; they advocate for solutions that, “focus law enforcement resources on the most serious threats to public safety, reduce our reliance on incarceration, and heal police-community relations.” Then we’ll invite community leaders to summarize the recently-released report by Berry Dunn that reviewed our local 911 call data. We’ll end by breaking out into discussion groups to prepare questions for the City Council Meeting, where Berry Dunn will present their summary and recommendations. The event will be facilitated by Dr. Gus Wood (UIUC, School of Labor & Employment Relations).

You can let us know your accessibility needs ahead of time by filling out this form.
