UCIMC Incubator
In 2021 the UCIMC collaborated with Representative Carol Ammons to launch an 18 month non-profit incubator. Representative Ammons had noticed a lack of organizations in our district led by impacted residents and people of color. The UCIMC provided fiscal sponsorship and support explicitly focused on underrepresented and BIPOC populations – and we have a strong track record of success with over 60 organizations supported to date.
The UCIMC Incubator helped support seven organizations who received grant funding, comprehensive leadership training, and other wrap-around support to grow their work. They were selected based on their focus on anti-violence work and service to communities disproportionately impacted by COVID-19.
