UCIMC Venue Rate Increase 

On Monday, March 2, 2026, UCIMC will implement an increase in venue rates. We understand how this change can impact our community, which is why we want to inform you now. If you book an event before March 2nd, you can book at our current venue rate!

 

Reasons for the venue rate increase: 

  • In the fall of 2025, we started scheduling event staff members for all bookings. This improves customer service for venue-users, supports the accessibility of our venue, and helps us ensure our space is cared for. 
  • It allows our full-time and part-time staff to focus on day-to-day tasks and helps us meet the demand of our growing bookings.
  • We have also improved our space significantly in recent years 
    • Rebuilding the stage
    • Installing a lighting system
    • Organizing furniture
    • Investing in a building maintenance position on staff. 
  • This price change will allow us to sustain our space for years to come and continue to provide an accessible venue option for our community in downtown Urbana.

NOTE

  • We will only have one flat rate for all bookings. 
  • Weekly recurring bookings can receive a 25% discount on their booking or apply for a co-sponsorship. Applications for co-sponsorships happen twice a year. Learn more about co-sponsorships HERE.

  • We give preference to Champaign County residents
