Cultural Strategy to Fight Fascism
The IMC is collaborating with local artists and activists to discuss how art and culture are key to the fight against fascism. While it sometimes feels like the rise of fascism is inevitable, trends come along that assert the cultural power of the people to express joy, celebrate love, and refuse Trump's agenda: think Bad Bunny, Heated Rivalry, or artists refusing to perform at the Kennedy Center. How are we building cultural power locally?
This event focuses on gathering artists and activists, but isn't exclusive to these groups. We define both artists and activists in broad terms, knowing that many individuals are creative, community problem-solvers.
