Description: We’ll be hosting a contra dance with music by Earl White. If you’ve never heard of contra dance, check out this short introduction! Earl White is an exemplar of traditional Black-American string band fiddle style. Steeped in Appalachian traditions, the group plays an array of eclectic tunes and songs that sets them apart. This engagement is supported by the Arts Midwest GIG Fund, a program of Arts Midwest that is funded by the National Endowment for the Arts, with additional contributions from the Illinois Arts Council.
