2026 IMC Working Group Meeting
When: Monday, March 2nd, 6-7pm
Location: IMC Sunroom (202 S Broadway, Urbana) or via Zoom
Who: Anyone with experience volunteering or leading an IMC Working Group or Fiscally Sponsored Project.
What:
This meeting will help working group leaders understand and take advantage of the benefits of being a part of the IMC. Staff will cover basic logistical questions, including how new working group volunteers can get keys, how to request purchases, how to use IMC's tax-exempt status, how to request a reimbursement, and how to reserve meeting space. Additional available resources will be reviewed briefly including: Nationbuilder (webpage editing and newsletter platform), Google Workspace & Groups (email creation & lists), Mayfirst (non-corporate email creation & lists), Canva (graphic design), and TechSoup (nonprofit tech discounts). We'll end with a brief discussion of summer outreach and tabling priorities such as Farmers Market, Juneteenth, and Chambana Days.
