Workshop Description 

Day of the Dead Altar Candle Decorating and Sticker-Making Workshop 

Celebrate Día de los Muertos through art, memory, and creativity at our Day of the Dead Altar Candle Decorating and Sticker-Making Workshop on Thursday, October 23, from 6–8 PM at the Makerspace Urbana Memory Lab. 

Participants will decorate altar candles and create custom vinyl stickers using photos of loved ones they wish to remember or make offerings to. Each person will receive a vinyl sticker sheet for printing, up to two altar candles, and access to a variety of decorative materials to personalize their creations. 

This hands-on workshop blends traditional remembrance with digital design techniques, inviting participants to reflect on their connections with family, ancestors, and community through creative expression. Everyone will leave with up to two personalized candles.
